There are many ways to get involved with PYHOL:
(1) Organize a paint team; we have teams from civic clubs and organizations, churches, businesses, athletic teams, schools -- all sorts!
(2) Nominate a home to be painted.
(3) Talk to your business about donating money or goods; we always need paint and painting equipment, but we also need "volunteer support" in the form of drinks and lunches during Paint Day.
(4) Talk with the Board of Directors about getting involved behind the scenes -- reviewing and preparing homes, organizing teams, etc.
Important dates:
- December 31, 2006 - Homeowner applications due
- March 6, 2007, 6:30 p.m. (location to be announced) - Team leader orientation dinner
(leaders will receive house assignment)
- March 10, 2007 - Prep day (as needed)
- March 16, 2007, 4:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. - Team representative(s) pick up supplies from
Bryant Stadium
- March 17, 2007 - Paint Day
PYHOL is run completely by volunteers. We are all concerned citizens, just like you, who are willing to give up some of our time and energy to help our community.
